As part of the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week celebrations, Sagar Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Research (SIPTec-R), Ratibad, organized an expert lecture on “Pharmacovigilance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” to raise awareness about drug safety and regulatory practices among students and faculty.The session was led by Dr. Dipanjana Ghosh, DST INSPIRE Faculty, RGPV, who explained the crucial role of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) in safeguarding public health by ensuring that the benefits of medicines outweigh their risks.Dr. Ghosh elaborated on key aspects of pharmacovigilance — detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse drug effects — and highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) reporting and data analysis.An interactive Q and A session concluded the program, with students actively engaging, asking questions, and gaining valuable insights — making the lecture both informative and impactful.
